If I switch to battery mode, will it impact the brightness of the image?

Yes, it's could. The portable projector supports 3 power modes: Normal/Eco/Low Power Consumption mode. When using the projector without the power adapter connected, the power mode will switch to “Low Power Consumption mode” where the brightness will decrease to 50% and the fan will reduce its sound by around 10%.
