How to protect your OLED monitor against image burn-in?

Users can select a shorter screen sleep time, avoid displaying the same image at high brightness, or take advantage of BenQ OLED screen protection features. Please click and follow the instructions below, or read on to learn more about this.

Suppose you want to enjoy the vivid colors and excellent contrast on OLDE monitors, especially the deep black. In that case, you then need to know the information that helps extend their lifespan and protect against burn-in.

What users can do:

1. Select a shorter screen sleep time.

2. Avoid displaying the same image at high brightness for a long time.

3. Or, take advantage of the following BenQ OLED screen protection features.

Off-RS:

As operation time goes by, the current driving the OLEDs will become uneven. What Off RS do is recalibrate all OLEDs to default status. Every 4 hours of screen time, the monitor will automatically turn on this mode once the display is on standby/power-off (takes about 10 minutes). Users can manually run the process via the OSD menu.

JB:

The luminance performance of the OLED panel will differ after a while of operating. Once in a while, going through the JB process can eliminate the luminance gap between OLEDs. After 500 hours of screen time, the monitor will automatically turn on this mode once the display is on standby/power-off. Users can manually run the function via the OSD menu.

Orbit: In order to reduce the stress on the OLEDs, the pixels shift slightly every minute.
