How to set up dual monitors with one Thunderbolt 3 port?

To daisy-chain two monitors via Thunderbolt, please connect the two monitors with a Thunderbolt 3/4 certified cable and follow the steps below:

  1. Power on all monitors.
  2. Connect the Thunderbolt out port on your laptop to the Thunderbolt in port on monitor 1.
  3. Connect the Thunderbolt out port on monitor 1 to the Thunderbolt in port on monitor 2.
