Should I turn on 4K motion enhancer or not?

Well-known Hollywood director Chris McQuarrie and actor Tom Cruise have urged movie fans to disable motion-smoothing on their TVs, which causes the “soap opera effect,” making movies look like they were shot on high-speed video rather than film. To preserve the original filmmakers’ vision, our projector keeps 4K Motion Enhancer off by default to maintain the original 24fps frame rate that's recommended for movie. Catering to individual preferences, the projector still offers 4K Motion Enhancer to reduce motion blur in live sports events and fast-paced action in other HD programs.

Unlike traditional 1080p projectors’ whose 3:2 pull down duplicates frames, resulting in “judder” issues due to the mismatch between the refresh rate and 24fps frame rate, our projector’s 4K Motion Enhancer adds interpolated frames to eliminate judder for videos with smoother motion.
