BenQ DesignVue and PhotoVue Monitors are Pantone Validated

BenQ design monitors are pantone validated

What is Pantone and the Pantone Matching System?

Pantone is considered the global authority on commercial color reproduction. Since the 1960s, the organization has standardized over 10,000 unique colors for designers and product developers. In 1963, Pantone changed the printing industry creating the Pantone Matching System (PMS), effectively defining a new standard for color reproduction.

The PMS organizes color standards through a proprietary numbering system and a palette of color chips, which have become an icon of color and design themselves. It has become a universal language of color that brings clarity and understanding to the design and photo-editing process. The benefits of the PMS are realized every day the world over from designers to producers and manufacturers. It has found in use in every digital field, from graphic design to 4K video production.

What are Pantone and Pantone SkinTone Validated?

Pantone Validated means a device such as a monitor, capable of rendering the full range of Pantone colors accurately. To become certified through the Pantone Validated program, a monitor is assessed by technicians using advanced Calibrite color calibration technology

BenQ DesignVue Designer and PhotoVue Photography monitors offer integrated color correction and BenQ-exclusive AQCOLOR technology to guarantee superior color accuracy, including tested quality in achieving Pantone Matching System colors.

Most recently, a select few BenQ photo and design monitors have also been certified as Pantone SkinTone™ Validated, meaning these monitors can authentically and consistently reproduce the diverse set of skin tones found in the Pantone SkinTone Guide.

How does Pantone Validated Improve my Workflow?

Designers, photo editors, and other creative professionals benefit the most from monitors that reproduce color accurately and consistently. Being able to work in the exact colors that your final product will be rendered makes the design process clearer and easier.

Ensuring that the appearance of colors in print or finished products, match those displayed on the screen during the production process will help reflect the original design intent. Professionals who acknowledge color accuracy as a critical aspect in display technology or output devices should look for models tested and approved by Pantone.

Pantone’s validation of DesignVue Design and PhotoVue Photography series monitors reinforces BenQ’s dedication to providing absolute color accuracy to color-critical professional applications. Now including Pantone colors as shown on the screen.
