This chapter describes the basic interactive display operations.

BenQ recommends binding BenQ Boards to AMS for more convenient and secure access to the board, user profiles, and data. When AMS is enabled, users can log in to access BenQ Board features as well as their local and cloud-based files and folders. For details, see Binding the display to AMS.

1. Tap the user account icon on the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Tap Log out.

After logging into the BenQ Board, users will have access to their own Home screen. Users can personalize this screen by changing their wallpaper, adding their preferred app shortcuts and widgets, and customizing the layout to match their workflow.

1. Tap the user account icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Tap Personal Settings > Wallpaper Settings.
3. Select a wallpaper image.

4. (Optional) Edit the image.

5. Tap Save copy.

1. Tap  .
2. Tap Apps or Widgets.
3. Tap and drag an app or widget from the menu to the Home screen.

1. Tap and hold the app or widget. The Remove box appears.
2. Drag the app or widget to the box.

1. Tap and hold an app or widget.
2. Drag the app or widget to the rightmost edge of the screen. The board adds a new Home screen page.
3. Drop the app or widget onto the new page.

The BenQ Board automatically receives the latest firmware and apps updates once it is connected to the internet. Every time a new update is available, a red badge appears on the Notifications icon . Tap the icon to open the Notifications window.

Use the following hand gestures to navigate and modify the Home screen or access the Settings menu.

Tapping the bars at the left or right sides of the screen opens the sidebar menu.

The sidebar is enabled by default. In case it is disabled, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Settings menu.
2. Tap Advanced.
3. Enable Sidebar.

The Floating Tool gives you access to different annotation and screen recording tools.

There are three ways to open the Floating Tool:

1. Sidebar: Tap Floating Tool  from the sidebar menu.
2. Gesture: Hold two fingers on the screen for three seconds.
3. Always on: Tap  on the screen to expand the Floating Tool.

1. Press the Settings button . The BenQ Board settings menu appears.
2. Tap Advanced.
3. Enable Floating Tool gesture.

1. Open EZWrite 6.
2. On the menu bar, tap  > .The EZWrite settings menu appears.
3. Enable Always-on Floating Tool.

Open up to six different apps in separate windows and interact with them on the same screen.

1. Launch the app or switch to a different input source on the display.
2. Tap the sidebar.
3. Tap Multi-window mode.
4. Choose screen division options.

The multi-window options bar allows users to arrange the windows on screen to match their workflow. Users can tap and drag the options bar to move it on the screen.

Users who fail to enable BenQ services during the BenQ Launcher setup will get the default Google user interface. They will not have access to the BenQ device and user management platforms as well as the sidebar and custom BenQ Board settings.

To enable BenQ services, users must reset the display to its factory settings and then set up the BenQ Launcher. For details, see the following topics:

The BenQ Board has several ports that can be used to input and output data and media.

The touch module of the display supports plug-and-play operation. Users do not need to install additional drivers on their device computer. There are two ways to enable touch connections: using the USB-C port and using the Touch USB port.

USB connectors

When connecting devices to the any of the display’s USB ports, ensure the following:

• The cable length is recommended to be less than 5 m (16.4 ft) for USB 2.0 slots and 3 m (9.8 ft) for USB 3.0 slots.
• The BenQ Board RP05 limits the number of USB connections. If all USB slots are occupied and a USB hub is connected to the display, it will not recognize any new USB input devices.

Charging

The front USB-C port on the display supports power delivery, offering 100W when no OPS slot-in PC is installed and 30W when one is present.

The NFC sensor on the front panel detects the NFC tags from BenQ accessories and mobile devices.

• Keep the remote control cool and dry at all times. Prolonged exposure to direct heat and humidity may cause it to malfunction.

The following guidelines are only applicable when using the IR sensor.

• Keep the IR sensor away from direct sunlight or a strong light source as this may disrupt the remote control signal. Adjust the room lighting or the placement of the display to ensure proper communication with the IR sensor.
• The maximum remote control distance is 8 m (26.24 ft) from the IR sensor.
• The remote control must be within the horizontal range of 60 degrees and the vertical range of 30 degrees to ensure proper transmission to the IR sensor.

1. Ensure that the remote control receiver is connected to the display.
   For details, see Adapters.
2. Position the remote control close to the receiver, and then press and hold the V- and BLANK buttons at the same time.
   The status LED starts blinking and stops when pairing is complete.
