Under the Roles tab, you can view the available roles of each service.
For X-sign, you can create a new role with customized permissions. See Customize a role for X-Sign.
View permissions of each role
1. Under the Roles tab, select a BenQ service.
2. Select a role and click the eye icon _ to view the role settings.
3. For each role, the enabled feature will be marked with a green check.
Customize a role for X-Sign
Create a customized role for X-Sign
1. Under the Roles tab, select X-Sign.
2. Click Create a new role.
3. Specify a name for the role.
4. Check the permission you'd like to grant to this role.
5. Select Submit.
Delete a customized role for X-Sign
1. Under the Roles tab, select X-Sign.
2. Select a role without the default mark. Only roles created by admin can be deleted.
3. Select to delete.
Set a sub-admin
Administrators can assign a user as a sub-admin. This creates a backup admin who has the same top-level access to all services as the main administrator.
1. In BenQ IAM (iam.benq.com), select the accounts you want to edit and click Edit Service Permission.
2. Select Set as sub-admin in the drop-down list.
3. Click Submit to complete the setting.
Set users as restricted user
Administrators can set user’s role as restricted AMS user to minimize potential misuse on device.
1. In BenQ IAM (iam.benq.com), select the accounts you want to edit and click Edit Service Permission.
2. Under AMS service, select Restricted User.
3. Click Submit to complete the setting.
4. For restricted users, certain settings on their boards will be greyed out.
Note
- The Bluetooth setting will light up when the dongles are plugged into the devices.
- The Screen setting will light up when switch to the input sources.
Assign an external agent
You can grant access to an administrator from another organization to manage your BenQ devices and services by assigning them as your external agent.
Important
The agent will have visibility into your managed devices and services. For data privacy and protection, ensure that this administrator is duly authorized by your organization before giving them external agent privileges.
1. As the administrator, go to iam.benq.com and sign in.
2. Select the External agent tab.
3. Fill in the Email and Company name of your external agent.
4. Click Set.
5. Wait for the agent to accept the invitation.
