Learn moreRegarding the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) functionality on BenQ projectors. We understand your expectation for full bi-directional CEC support. However, after careful consideration of usage scenarios, we have designed our projector to limit CEC control to one-way communication.
This approach helps avoid unintended behaviors such as powering on all connected source devices simultaneously when the projector sends a CEC power-on command. In certain setups, this could cause user inconvenience or confusion. Additionally, it is important to note that not all source devices respond consistently to CEC commands—some may ignore power-on signals altogether.
We truly appreciate your understanding, and we will continue to work on the possible implementation of bi-directional CEC features in future updates and models. Should you have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.
