GV31 Battery Safety Enhancement Program
Dear BenQ User,

BenQ has recently discovered that, in rare and specific circumstances, the battery of the GV31 portable mini projector may overheat and pose a safety risk.
BenQ always prioritizes customer safety. As a precautionary measure, we are proactively launching a Battery Safety Enhancement Program to reduce potential product safety concerns.

If you own a GV31 portable mini projector, please stop using it and contact BenQ as instructed in the How to Apply section to return your product to the designated service location.

Program Details

As part of this program, BenQ will conduct a professional battery health check for your device and take the following actions based on the inspection results:

  • Battery in Good Condition: BenQ will update your model to the latest firmware (FW).
  • Battery in Poor Condition: BenQ will replace your battery free of charge and update your model to the latest firmware (FW).

The firmware (FW) introduces the latest dynamic battery management algorithm to optimize battery lifespan and reduces the risk of excessive aging. This update includes the following features:

  • The battery health diagnostic system will remind users to return the device for battery replacement based on the battery health check results.
  • If the diagnostic result indicate that the battery is not suitable for continued use, the system will restrict battery power functionality. The device will only operate via the adaptor, and remind users to return the device for battery replacement.
