Tomi Kuo, co-founder and visual effects or VFX supervisor of Renovatio Pictures, has been in the film industry for several years. He believes that "VFX is not only creating gorgeous visuals but also telling a better story". Tomi is therefore committed to using VFX for narrative enhancement. In his cinematic VFX career, he worked on various blockbuster film projects, such as My Missing Valentine, Detention, KANO, LOVE, and Roof Top.
Tomi’s company, Renovatio Pictures, is an award-winning production studio with offices in Taiwan and Australia. Renovatio provides creative solutions for film and television, including concept art development, storyboarding, on-set VFX supervision, post production and editorial design, rental and support, and virtual reality production. Renovatio has its own complete in-house VFX team, which produces visual effects, 3D computer animation, 3D previsualization, and motion graphics.
