What inspired you to pursue photography?

I first encountered photography during my university years while studying Art and Design, where photography was a mandatory course. I initially bought a DSLR camera just to complete class assignments, but over time, I became fascinated with camera gear, and that eventually grew into a deep passion for photography.

What is your proudest achievement in landscape photography?

For me, every photo I take fills me with a sense of pride, regardless of its technical level. Each image serves as a testament to my evolving perspectives and emotions at different stages of life. However, from an external perspective, my greatest achievement has been my 14 years of photography education, where I have helped my students develop a love for photography.

How would you define a great landscape photograph?

A great landscape photograph is a harmonious blend of nature and humanity. It should not only captivate visually but also reflect a deeper meaning of environmental exploration and conservation. Technically, it should evolve with the times, ensuring perfection in detail and execution. More importantly, it should resonate emotionally, provoking thought and evoking a connection with the viewer.

How important is post-processing in landscape photography?

Post-processing is an essential step in landscape photography. It is not just a technical enhancement but also a powerful means of artistic expression. Skillful post-processing improves the aesthetic appeal and shareability of an image while allowing photographers to inject their personal creative vision into their work.

What advice do you have for the next generation of photographers?

Stay adaptable, be fearless in innovation, and most importantly, hold on to your passion!
