How Smart Signage Displays Can Create More Effective Finance Meetings

For finance professionals, data is key to making the best, most informed decisions. However, it can be the biggest obstacle — and time-waster — when trying to share, analyze, and present during video conferencing meetings. That’s because this information comes from multiple cloud and network sources — emails, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets to name a few. In addition, presenters may need to access professional CRMs and finance services, such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ. Likewise, multiple attendees may need to share content from their device at the same time in order to visualize, compare, brainstorm, and make digital annotations.

There are also other technological roadblocks that contribute to meeting inefficiency. It’s estimated that 8 minutes are wasted just getting meetings started. In addition, trying to share participants' screens with complex AV systems that require specific input/output ports can rob an additional 5 minutes. More time might also be spent trying to figure out how to operate separate audio and video technologies in the room.

The Need for Simple, Effective, Safe Meetings

It’s projected that upper management spend 50% of their work hours in meetings. They need to be able to make the most of that time by being able to walk into the room and present efficiently and effectively. They can’t afford to be distracted by confusing audio and video equipment, passing around HDMI cables, or figuring out how to share their screen or access vital documents. BenQ’s CS series is more than a display; it’s a smart signage solution born for intuitive, time-conscious, and engaging meetings.

A Meeting-Friendly Display

CS facilitates contactless meetings for presentation and collaboration with team members from anywhere. Super easy to use, it allows users to present, collaborate, and conduct video conference calls all right from the display. The display leverages BenQ’s InstaShare 2 wireless presentation system, which allows up to four participants to present while displaying up to four screens simultaneously for maximum information analysis and collaboration. With InstaShare 2, there’s no need to switch back and forth between screens or pass an HDMI cable around the room. In addition, it supports Miracast and Airplay for flexible screen sharing.

Stay in Control of Content

The included remote control is an intuitive presentation tool. It can be used as a clicker or a cursor, and it opens up a menu of options for annotation and recording. Leveraging BenQ’s Account Management System (AMS), it allows users to make the most of meeting time with zero preparation. They can open and edit files from their chosen cloud services, including Google, Dropbox, OneDrive, Office 365, and more.

Smarter Display for Smarter Meetings

The display is also platform-agnostic, complementing any workflows that need to run specialized software during meetings. Via the Duo OS window feature, simply access the software, such as AutoCAD or Photoshop, from the display’s OPS slot or external device. The Duo Windows mode maximizes the screen real estate by splitting the screen into two windows, eliminating the need to switch between apps and software screens.

Built for Conferencing and Collaboration

Finally, teams can get hands-on brainstorming and finessing ideas, using BenQ’s EZ Write cloud-based whiteboard application. Using a unique QR code, anyone can join the whiteboard session, adding their notes and media on the screen and allow them to import pertinent documents from cloud storage. In co-creation mode, everyone has an opportunity to provide input and feedback from their mobile device.

The CS Series display is compatible with many mainstream video-conferencing platforms, including Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Cisco Webex. It is available as an all-in-one video conferencing bundle featuring BenQ’s new enterprise-grade DVY21 compact full HD huddle room webcam, DVY22 smart 4K camera for midsize meeting rooms, or DVY23 20X zoom PTZ camera for large conference rooms; MeetingRoom365 license to quickly and easily reserve meeting rooms right from the display; and a Wi-Fi dongle.

The Signpost of Versatility

Finally, supporting the increasing requirement for digital signage, it supports BenQ’s X-Sign and X-Sign Broadcast creation, scheduling, and publishing software. This allows the CS display to double as a digital signage system without purchasing separate digital signage displays and streaming systems or paying ongoing fee-based contracts.

Finance professionals have to bank on meetings being impactful, informative, and efficient. They need displays to do more than simply present. The CS Series smart signage display is the multi-functional contactless hub that addresses all the obstacles that slow meetings down and make them drag on far too long. Users can do more from one screen faster and more easily — shaving costly minutes while boosting engagement and opportunities.
