TAIPEI, TAIWAN, October 15, 2019 – BenQ, the global No.1 DLP brand, today launched EX800ST/EW800ST, the first education projectors to feature cloud account integration, smart app capability, internet and wireless connectivity to promote diversified teaching and blended learning in K-12 classrooms. Providing long-lasting uninterrupted instruction with Dust Guard technology, the short-throw projectors offer futureproof PC-less academic solutions for student interaction, collaboration, and next-generation teaching styles.

“E800ST empowers educators to foster a progressive school climate with flexible and innovative teaching technologies,” said Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation. “In fast-developing regions as well as in mature replacement markets where projectors and interactive whiteboards remain the mainstream solution, these smart, interactive, and connected projectors enable new teaching best practices and encourage highly engaged student participation.”

A new concept for classroom projection, E800ST offers personal account control and cloud services integration via BenQ Account Management System (AMS), allowing teachers individualized access to lesson plans and educational materials in cloud storage. E800ST also includes X-Sign Broadcast, a centralized messaging and display scheduling system.

E800ST’s user interface is optimized for education and interaction, providing intuitive content navigation in addition to the traditional projector remote control. Featuring intuitive human interface device (HID) support, E800ST lets students and teachers navigate educational content with a mouse or keyboard, even allowing projector control and operation from a smartphone via BenQ Smart Control app.

Equipped with onboard BenQ Suggest app store, E800ST can download a variety of smart apps, including web browsers for self-contained Internet connectivity.

Together with hassle-free wireless projection from mobile, PC, and laptop devices even when there is no Wi-Fi infrastructure, E800ST’s smart features facilitate building immersive learning spaces without boundaries. E800ST’s engaging and expansive visual quality is enhanced by new Infographic and Video Modes, designed to accentuate learning opportunities presented by modern educational materials with mixed graphics, data, charts, motion video, and text.

Available in XGA (EX800ST) and WXGA (EW800ST) resolutions, the new smart interactive classroom projectors are equipped with BenQ Dust Guard technology for durable reliability and Lamp Save Mode for up to 15,000 hours of long-lasting clarity before lamp maintenance. E800ST further minimizes ownership costs with centralized LAN-based projector control and maintenance, as well as over-the-air firmware updates.
