Searching for the Right Projection Partner
As Batbox prepared to open its first flagship venue in Dallas, TX, the company knew it needed an entertainment platform built for long-term growth. The plan was weekly installations and a goal of deploying 100 simulators within a year. The team conducted head-to-head tests, placing the BenQ LK935 4K Laser Projector against a competitor projector priced at nearly twice as much.
“It wasn’t about finding the cheapest,” said Brandon Gabay, VP of marketing at Batbox. “It was about finding the best. We battle tested different brands, and every time, BenQ came out on top.”
Despite testing against higher-lumen competitors, BenQ delivered stronger real-world image fidelity. “On paper, some had higher brightness numbers,” continued Gabay. “But in actual performance, BenQ had better quality, better light, and better fidelity.”
Durability mattered too. Laser projection eliminates lamp replacement downtime, and the sealed optical engine reduces overheating and dust-related risk. After assessing all the different components of selecting the perfect model, the decision to move forward with BenQ was a no brainer for the Batbox team.
