How do I set up the wireless dongle EZC-5201BS for my projector?

Please follow the instructions below to set up EZC-5201BS for your projector.  

What is EZC-5201BS?
BenQ EZC-5201BS is an optional accessory for part of BenQ projectors for wireless projection use with 1080p 16:9 content.
EZC-5201BS supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz network and is in compliance with wireless standards up to 802.11ac.
If you're pairing with the 4:3, 16:10, 1:1, or non-standard impact screen, your image might be distorted while connecting. 

While connecting with golf-use, please check your launch monitor connectivity type : 

• Wired (CAT 6 cable to PC): Supported > e.g., Uneekor QED, EYE XO, EYE XO2
• Bluetooth (to iPad/iPhone): Supported >  e.g., Garmin R10
• Wi-Fi (to PC/iPad/iPhone): Not supported > e.g., Mevo

Connection Status

• EZC-5201BS is not connected to the internet, and no device is connected to EZC-5201BS.

• EZC-5201BS is connected to the internet, and no device is connected to EZC-5201BS.

• EZC-5201BS is not connected to the internet, and there is a device which is connected to EZC-5201BS.

How to connect EZC-5201BS to the Internet for wireless projection

1. Please connect EZC-5201BS to the USB port for the wireless dongle on the
    projector.

2. Switch input the signal to Wireless Display, and you will see the projected
    image as the following image.

3. Connect your computer to EZC-5201BS with WiFi SSID and Password from
    the projected image.

4. IP address will be displayed when EZC-5201BS is connected to your
    computer as in the following picture. Open your web browser and go to the
    address of the projector from your projected image.

5. You will be directed to Internet Setup once EZC-5201BS is connected to
    your computer for the first time.

6. Connect EZC-5201BS to the Internet you prefer to use.

For iOS/macOS devices

1. Select the WiFi network that the projector joined in the WiFi settings on your
    device, or directly to EZC-5201BS through WiFi SSID.

2. After opening control center, press screen mirroring and choose the
    projector (BenQ_xxxxxxxx) to start projection. 

For Android devices 

1. Select the WiFi network that the projector joined in the WiFi settings on your
    device, or directly to EZC-5201BS through WiFi SSID.

2. After opening the Quick settings panel, press the Screen Mirroring icon and
    choose the projector (BenQ_xxxxxxxx). 

For Windows OS devices 

1. Select the WiFi network that the projector joined in the WiFi settings on your
    device, or directly to EZC-5201BS through WiFi SSID.

2. Press the Windows + P / K and choose the projector (BenQ_xxxxxxxx).

How to update firmware through EZC-5201BS

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Upgrade.

4. Connect OK to update to the latest firmware version. 

•     Local Version: the firmware running on your EZC-5201BS
•     Server Version: the firmware would update on your EZC-5201BS

5. Firmware update in process. 

6. Once firmware update is complete, EZC-5201BS will restart itself and get
    back to the home screen as the following image.

How to change WiFi SSID

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Device Name.

4. Enter the device name you prefer to use, and click OK.

How to change hide Password

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click WiFi Password.

4. Enter the password you prefer to use.

5. Click Hide Password.

6. Switch to On and click OK.

Once the Hide Password option is enabled, the password will be presented as asterisks, as shown in the following image.

How to enable standby screen 

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Wallpaper.

4. Switch to On and click OK.

Keyword: Enter keyword for specific topic for standby screen.  
                If you prefer to have Lion topic as your standby screen, enter Lion
                for keyword. EZC-5201BS will enter the standby screen a minute
                later.

How to change setting language 

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Language.

4. Switch the language you prefer to use and click OK.

How to factory reset EZC-5201BS

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Reset to default.

4. Click OK to reset EZC-5201BS.

Once reset is complete, EZC-5201BS will restart itself and get back to the home screen as the following image.

How to reboot EZC-5201BS

1. Connect EZC-5201BS to your projector and the Internet.

2. Open your web browser and go to the address of the projector from your
    projected image as the following picture.

3. Click Reboot.

4. Click OK to reboot EZC-5201BS.
