I highly recommend the BenQ SW2700PT display. This product is a must for professional photographers and photography enthusiasts. Its color reproduction and intuitive function-switching have greatly improved my workflow and the monotony of post-editing. I am confident that the display will continue to bring more convenience in the future.

Photographers often risk their lives and health, and journey long distances, regardless of night and day, to take that one perfect shot. However, the shutter closing on that perfect image is a sensation that cannot be replaced by any material object. I am sure that photography lovers are able to relate to this indescribable feeling. A beautiful picture is the ultimate satisfaction that photography art has to offer, and the creation process is the core element that attracts artists to photography. Nonetheless, post-editing is a vital stage in the creation of photography work. Post-editing not only compensates for regrets during the shooting stage, but also expands the plane of creativity.

As a professional photographer for many years, a large portion of my work on a day-to-day basis focuses on images. However, the content of my work has gradually expanded from commercial portraits to professional architecture and product photography. More recently, I have dabbled in a wider field of photography, such as providing corporate training to photography enthusiasts, serving as column writer for photography magazines and websites, and working as an instructor on photography-centered tours. Regardless of the changes in identity, I do not stray far from my passion for photography. Different roles complement each other and enable me to explore and experience photography art more extensively.

A perfect image irrevocably means meeting the right people in the right place at the right time. Although weather and environment are uncontrollable variables, there are many factors we can manipulate to get as close as possible to our expectations. I am extremely demanding regarding my gear because the right piece of equipment can drastically enhance efficiency and quality.

The importance of post-editing becomes even more indispensable when we exclude the shooting process. From basic cropping to detailed color calibration, all post-editing operations are completed on a display. Therefore, displays are a photographer’s “second pair of eyes,” and they directly affect the final product. Hence, I expect that my display can provide optimal performance.

Color correctness is the biggest obstacle in post-editing. In the past, only software could be used to correct color. The SW2700PT display features a professional color management function. It has built-in hardware for color correction, which undoubtedly enhances color accuracy. The SW2700PT is truly a game changer for photography enthusiasts. Calibrating color directly on the display is extremely refreshing. Through application, I found that hardware color correction not only significantly enhances the color reproduction of images, but also reduces stress on my computer software, thereby stretching beyond the limitations of the graphics card. BenQ’s exclusive Palette Master Element also provides real-time and instantaneous color correction functionality, which is incredibly convenient.

Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the 99% Adobe RGB coverage. The overall quality of images was completely different, and the color effects were immaculate.

You could say that the OSD controller is the perfect gadget of the SW2700PT. The controller allows users to switch between gamuts at a single push of a button. During everyday browsing, I prefer using the Adobe RGB mode (Button 1) to view vivid and lifelike images with ultra-high color reproduction, greatly enhancing visual impact. During post-editing, I use the sRGB mode (Button 2). This mode minimizes color difference, reduces the imprecision and errors of digital proofing, and satisfies consumers’ demand for accurate color printing. The B/W mode (Button 3) is also extremely useful for artistic post-edits, enabling editors to quickly predetermine the color of landscape shots and providing a broader series of functions for portrait shots, thereby greatly reducing the workload when working in black and white.

Finally, I would like to mention the professional shading hood that accompanies the SW2700PT display. Not only does having a display with a professional look impressive on a workstation, but it is also very useful. Invading environment light and screen glare is inevitable in both office and home contexts. The shading hood effectively blocks out these disturbances.

In addition, the QHD, no-glare, low-blue light properties of the SW2700PT display makes it less strenuous on the eyes when editing for extensive period of time.

Overall, I highly recommend the SW2700PT display. This product is a must for professional photographers and photography enthusiasts. Its color reproduction and intuitive function-switching have greatly improved my workflow and the monotony of post-editing. I am confident that the display will continue to bring more convenience in the future.
