How can I solve my smartphone can't connect to the projector via Bluetooth even though the projector is in Bluetooth speaker mode?

Check whether the projector is already paired to other devices using Bluetooth. If it is, unpair and try to connect your smartphone again. If the issue remains, please contact your local BenQ service center.
