Brilliant Color (BC) is specially-designed to offer higher brightness while maintaining accurate color across your content. The increased brightness is suitable for mid-tone images, which are commonly found in videos and natural scenes. Having BC on by default is recommended, especially for well-lit environments or large screens, which need more brightness for the best viewing experience.
Wide Color Gamut (WCG) is designed to naturally complement the DCI-P3 color gamut and is only available when the projector detects HDR content. Choosing WCG-On allows for deeper black levels and a wider color gamut, especially extra red and green tint. All at a comfortable brightness highly compatible with HDR movies. Having WCG set to on is thus recommended for viewing 4K HDR content in a light-controlled environment to reproduce an immersive cinematic feel at home.
