Here are the conditions to check for your desk:
Tabletop Material: If your desk's tabletop is made of any of the following materials, or if the surface is prone to dents or has glass, a reinforcement plate is necessary for installation:
- Hollow tabletop
- Honeycomb boards
- MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)
Tabletop Thickness: If using a reinforcement plate, the thickness should be at least 1.2 to 4.5 cm. If not using a reinforcement plate, the thickness should be at least 1.7 to 5 cm.
In summary, if your desk has a tabletop material that is prone to damage or is hollow, it is recommended to use a reinforcement plate for proper support.
