03-14-2007

BenQ is pleased to announce that six of its digital lifestyle designed products have won the prestigious 2007 iF Design Award for its innovative design and functionality. The awarded products includes a BenQ PMV 1000 mobile LCD TV which will also be receiving iF International Forum Design’s top honor, the iF Gold Award.

The iF Gold Award is given to a select group of 50 products a year, out of a total number of 2,293 entries from 35 different countries. The award-winning BenQ PMV 1000 mobile LCD TV’s design concept originated from the idea of a china plate for its pure whiteness and rounded angels that give the untainted comfortable feelings only found at home. The TV can be used as a digital picture frame and comes with a card reading function, allowing users to save and load images at anytime.

“This is BenQ’s second consecutive year winning iF Design Award’s top honor, the iF Gold Award” said Manfred Wang, Director of BenQ Lifestyle Design Center. “The recognition gained from the iF committee once again demonstrates BenQ’s world-class design prowess and our strength in bringing innovative design to our consumers.”

This year marks the fifth consecutive year that BenQ products garners the iF committee's acknowledgement for their outstanding product design. The addition of the 6 iF awards expands BenQ's total number of iF Awards to 42.
