IRVINE, Calif., – BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, is pleased to announce that Vista Certifications are now added to the long list of features for several of its digital projector and widescreen monitor products that are shipping now. “Each of our BenQ Vista certified products - both digital projectors and monitors, provides picture-perfect viewing, but also exemplify cutting edge technology in their own fields,” said Dumas Chen, BenQ Product Manager. “The two blazing fast widescreen monitors are ideal for demanding applications such as gaming, corporate or for graphics professionals. Our projectors with features such as MyScreen, presentation timer, power alert tone, “Q” hot key, and a blackboard mode, make presenting and home entertainment viewing positively easy.” The Vista Certified projector models MP721, MP721C, and MP611C are loaded with features to allow a presenter to focus on the presentation and not the projector. These whisper quiet, multi-featured units provide exceptional image quality in a business setting, educational environment, or as part of a home entertainment system. The units have MSRPs of $1499 (MP721), $999 (MP721C), and $749 (MP611C). Windows Vista Premium certified, the 24” FP241VW and 24” FP241W Z monitors are capable of displaying many new advanced gaming features such as Aero effects, including translucent windows, Flip 3D, and smooth moving windows. The units also are among the first multi-function displays to be certified to the new TCO’06 Media Displays international quality standard. The lineup includes: 24” FP241VW (MSRP $1499); 24” FP241W Z (MSRP $1299). These BenQ monitors offer a fast 6ms GTG Response Time and the proprietary BenQ Senseye® technology to enhance display performance. Finely detailed images can be easily seen with contrast ratios ranging from 1000:1 and 500 cd/m2 of brightness in the most brightly lit game rooms. High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) that provides amazingly fast data transfer rates, while eliminating the need for signal conversion. This HDMI interface allows gamers to easily connect the monitor to either a game console – resulting in superb video quality – or to a digital cable box, allowing viewers to enjoy 1080p high-quality HD content.
