Milan, 27th of September, 2004

BenQ announced today the launch of its new ultra-stylish, TFT 17” LCD display at the Milan Fashion Week. The breakthrough design and style is meant to appeal to trendy professionals on the move and those working at home or in small offices where the work environment needs to be stylish as well as technologically well-advanced.

 

The elegant flat screen featured prominently at today’s Just Cavalli fashion show and was officially presented at the Moët & Chandon VIP Lounge. At today’s show a model walked down the catwalk carrying the new display to demonstrate how it makes for an interesting combination with Cavalli’s hip and sexy design. The unique foldable base of the FP785 LCD display screen can be turned into a “handle” giving the display the look of a fashionable handbag. Roberto Cavalli commented: “Two leading design houses have made style and innovation the distinctive features of their creations”.

 

In addition its’ creative feature, the back of the screen is free from burdensome wires contributing to a simpler and clearer working space for users. The FP785 is ultra-flat (less than 3.5 cm, about half of normal LCD displays) and easily portable. With pivot software design, the 180° rotary display enables adapting its positioning whether the display is standing, or hanging on the wall.
