Europe, 8 December, 2003 – BenQ today announced November consolidated revenue for its core business at US$ 329 million, up 16% year-on-year and down 9% month-on-month. At the parent company level, BenQ’s October revenue was up 17% year-on-year and 5% month-on-month reached US$ 326 million, setting a historical record.
BenQ vice spokesman Mr. Alex Liou mentioned that a shortage of components and lack of inventory resulted in sales revenue that did not reflect market demand. Meanwhile, BenQ production lines have been trying to make up the usual inventory levels. December revenues are expected to be higher than that of November.
