DIETIKON/LANGNAU 3 September 2003
The internationally active information technology and consumer electronics company BenQ will be presenting itself as the main sponsor for the SCL Tigers at this season’s ice hockey games. In line with their corporate philosophy “Bringing Enjoyment and Quality to Life”, BenQ is drawing the parallel to ice hockey by sponsoring the players. The helmet was chosen as the ideal platform. The purple-coloured head protection acts as a refreshing eye-catcher, marking the up-and-coming presence of the young company not only in the ice rink.
In the course of their rapid expansion, BenQ decided to reinforce their brand name’s publicity by head-sponsoring the SCL Tigers. BenQ is the second-largest manufacturer of LCD monitors world-wide and a major manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices. Founded in 1984, the company today has 13'000 staff in various countries and research laboratories and production facilities all over the world.
BenQ concentrates on the enjoyable aspects of technology and lifestyle, on those that emphasize fun and pleasure. The company’s experience covers digital screens, storage media and drives, image processing systems, input devices as well as wireless and broadband products. Those are the core competencies BenQ benefits from when creating products for contemporary digital lifestyle. Privacy and work place, computer and consumer electronics blend into each other to an increasing extent. The creation of BenQ in December 2001 has brought about a company that meets the demands of the current market development.
