BenQ is pleased to announce that six BenQ products have received the prestigious iF China Design Award.
BenQ products honored include the Joybook 3000, FP991 LCD Monitor, PB7205 projector, DC1300 digital camera, DC1016 digital camera and the U-disk portable storage device. The products will be exhibited at CeBIT Asia held in Shanghai, China (Shanghai New International Expo Centre, September 18 – 21, 2003).
“The scope of design is more than just the appearance of products, but represents the interaction and integration of ‘contents’ and ‘forms.’ The term ‘forms’ refers to the final shape of the product and ‘contents’ refers to the value derived from the brand. It is the perfect melding of the two that confers to users the value and orientation the brand conveys,” stated Manfred Wang, BenQ Lifestyle Design Center Director, “The BenQ products winning awards fully reflect the perfect integration of design and brand value, bringing the BenQ brand philosophy of ‘Bringing Enjoyment and Quality to Life’ to the next level.”
A juried award, iF China Design Award, is decided on a number of factors including overall product design, production, materials usage, innovation, environmental friendliness, efficiency, practicality, and product safety. This year marks the first year the award has been held in China.
iF Design Award China
iF Design Award is one of the best known and prestigious design contests in the world. Sponsored by the International Forum Design Hannover GmbH, iF Design Award China brings the respected award for the first time to China. The iF Design Award China is targeted at manufacturers and designers who are active in the Chinese market, one of the fastest-growing design markets in the world. This year 51 products from 26 companies were awarded including Nokia, Samsung and Legend.
