08-15-2002
Europe, 15th August 2002. BenQ is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the forthcoming Photokina, to be held in Cologne from September 25 – 30, 2002. BenQ specialises in producing products that meet the demands of the digital life-style. It will be spotlighting projectors, scanners, digital cameras and LCD displays, offering a degree of quality and enjoyment that is uniquely BenQ and will have instant appeal to the discerning visitors at this important tradeshow.

BenQ will show the SL705S / SL705X, the DS660 / DX660, DS650 / DX650 and DS550 / DX550 projectors, available in two versions: one with XGA resolution, the other with SVGA resolution. All are based on DLP® technology developed by Texas Instruments, helping BenQ projectors to deliver clear, sharp, bright images. All projectors are extremely stylish and very quiet in operation. And there is a projector suitable for every situation – whether it is a home cinema, office, conference room or lecture hall.

BenQ’s range of digital cameras combine top quality technology with a take-anywhere ease of use, superb styling, and are packed with features that make them excellent examples of BenQ’s digital life-style philosophy. BenQ’s latest digital camera – the DC1500 - is compact and lightweight – weighing just 100 grams! – yet it features an integrated 0.9”colour STN LCD and BenQ’s exclusive HIT (Histogram and Image Transformation) technology. Other models on show at Photokina will include the DC 3310, DC 2110, and DC 1300.

Scanning is another area of proven BenQ expertise. BenQ will be showing its S2W 6400UT and S2W 7400UT and FilmScanner 2750S. The BenQ 2750U is designed to make scanning of negatives and slides as easy as possible. Featuring 2700 dpi and enhanced 48-colour bit, ensuring flawless image quality. It is a quality scanner, designed with the demanding professional in mind. All BenQ scanners shown at Photokina are compatible with USB 2.0, offering the fastest transmission speed available in the market.

No BenQ exhibition stand would be complete without its stylish LCDs. Here, exterior styling goes hand-in-hand with superb image quality and adaptability to an ever-increasing range of customer needs. The BenQ LCD FP781’s sleek and beautifully styled exterior packs a whole range of state-of-the-art features: a dual input (D-Sub and DVI-D) for both digital and analog signals; two integrated speakers; a microphone for Internet phone connections or recordings; and the sort of advanced ergonomic design you would expect from a market leader in this product segment. And it is also available in purple colour, making it a perfect accessory to those who demand elegance and quality in one package.

BenQ is pleased to be at Photokina. And is convinced that its refreshing new approach to the emerging digital lifestyle – an approach in which sophisticated technology and elegant styling is combined with enjoyment and quality – will win many supporters in the years to come. Make sure you get in on the act at Photokina: BenQ is in Hall 14.2, Stand L30.
