Teufel Makes Meetings More Efficiency with BenQ Wireless Presentation Solutions
Overview
Issue

The audio specialist Teufel has ten meeting rooms in Berlin. When planning their conference rooms, HDMI cabling was laid through the floor from the tables to the wall displays. What initially looked like a practical solution became a problem over time, as damaged cables could only be replaced at considerable expense. For example, image transmission was prevented by a defective cable or HDMI splitters that were incompatible with different notebooks. In addition, technically less experienced employees often required longer preparation times to get their equipment ready while using classic cabling.

Solution

They were looking for a reliable wireless presentation system that was also particularly easy to use. Teufel became aware of InstaShow™ through cooperation with BenQ. In order to carry out a detailed and practical test, one of the ten existing meeting rooms was equipped with a wireless presentation system.

Teufel Meeting Rooms in Berlin

Challenge

Founded in 1979, Teufel specializes in the construction and sale of high-quality loudspeakers and home cinema systems. The successful medium-sized company attaches particular importance to an intensive meeting culture. To ensure that this can also be practiced by the employees, the Berlin location has ten conference rooms with modern equipment and active use. The introduction of a user-friendly wireless presentation system was discussed in order to avoid wasting unnecessary time at meetings on installing the presentation technology, and cost-intensive replacement of cabling integrated in the floor.

Solution

BenQ InstaShow™ easily meets the requirement criteria. Thanks to Plug-and-Play, this compact and beautifully designed device can be easily connected and put into operation, even by less technically adept employees. No software installation is necessary, which also enables cross-platform compatibility. Long preparation times due to incompatibilities or defective cables are a thing of the past. Once connected to the computer's HDMI interface, only a single button needs to be pressed, and the connection is established within five seconds. InstaShow™ automatically selects the correct transmission channel and resolution. Despite wireless transmission, the device is not only user-friendly, but also particularly secure thanks to 128-bit AES encryption. In a meeting room, up to 16 participants can equip their notebooks with an InstaShow™ Button, and thus easily create a conference in which everyone can take control of the presentation from their computer at the touch of a button.

Result

In everyday working life, InstaShow™ is widely accepted by Teufel's employees and customers. The presentation system contributes to significantly more efficient use of the meeting room and reduces the necessary preparation time to a minimum. In addition, the maintenance required for a cable solution is almost completely eliminated. Teufel is convinced of InstaShow™ and is considering equipping all ten meeting rooms with the system in the future.
