[G1] Why does G1 defocus function doesn’t work well (edge of main subject is sometimes blurry too)?

The problem could be that background and main subject are being too close to each other. Background defocus is two photos (main subject and background) being composed together, the distance between must be 2m or more, otherwise the main subject could be defocused too.
