BenQ PV3250U arrives in india with 4K resolution and professional colour tools

BenQ brings its PV3250U 4K monitor to India for professional video editing and colour grading. It features hardware calibration, HDR support, a 120Hz refresh rate and tools to inspect fine details in footage.

Launched at Broadcast India 2026 on October 23, the 31.5-inch 4K UHD display introduces the PV50 Series to the Indian market. It combines hardware calibration, HDR support and image inspection tools to help creative professionals examine footage more carefully. The monitor has an MRP of ₹1,99,000, with an announced end-customer price of ₹1,48,998 for October 2026.
BenQ PV3250U Focuses on Colour Accuracy and Shadow Detail

Dark scenes can be particularly challenging during colour grading because small differences in shadows may disappear or appear inconsistent. The PV3250U addresses this problem with BenQ AQCOLOR technology, a native contrast ratio of 3000:1 and gamma 2.4 tuning for Rec.709 workflows. Factory calibration with enhanced dark-tone patch validation is designed to help preserve subtle details in low-light footage.

For more consistent viewing across the screen, AQCOLOR Uniformity uses micro-zone correction to improve brightness and colour consistency, including near the edges. This can be useful when professionals need to inspect footage across different areas of the display rather than relying on the centre alone.

Hardware Calibration and HDR Support

Supporting repeatable colour work, the monitor uses a 16-bit 3D LUT with nearly 5,000 RGB reference points for colour correction. Calibration data is stored in its internal IC, while BenQ AQCOLOR Pilot software supports recalibration with a compatible external calibrator. The 16-bit specification refers to internal colour-correction precision, rather than the monitor's refresh rate or a stated 16-bit panel.

Colour coverage includes 99% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709, alongside a stated Delta E ≤1 accuracy specification. A 120Hz refresh rate supports smoother on-screen motion, while HDR10, HLG and VESA DisplayHDR 600 support HDR content review. These features give editors tools for examining both standard video and supported HDR material.

Inspection Tools Make Editing More Practical

Beyond colour reproduction, several built-in tools are designed to simplify detailed footage checks. Shadow Check temporarily brightens dark areas to reveal hidden details during inspection, while Marker provides aspect-ratio and cropping guides for different delivery formats. Area Zoom magnifies selected regions for closer examination. These functions assist inspection without changing the original source content.

Connectivity, Controls and Pricing in India

For a cleaner workstation, Thunderbolt 4 supports video, data transfer and up to 96W of power delivery through a compatible single-cable connection, with bandwidth of up to 40Gbps. A magnetic shading hood helps reduce ambient light and reflections, while backlit OSD keys and the Wireless Hotkey Puck G4 provide convenient access to display settings. An integrated ESS DAC also supports high-impedance headphones rated up to 300Ω for audio review.

Priced at ₹1,48,998 for October 2026, the PV3250U is aimed at professionals who need detailed colour control and inspection tools for demanding video workflows. BenQ has also confirmed that the 27-inch PV2750U BENQ will launch in India later, although its pricing and availability details have not been announced in the supplied release.
