New Delhi, India, August 6th, 2013 – BenQ, an internationally renowned leader of personal, professional and educational digital devices, displays and solutions, proudly announced its extended official monitor sponsorship of the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 8, an elite global professional gaming tour organized by Electronics Sports League (ESL), taking place from July 2013 to March 2014. As the first monitor sponsor in IEM history and ESL’s long-standing partner, BenQ has brought exceptional gaming experience to the world’s elite professional gamers, taking competitive gaming to new heights. This being the third consecutive year for the company to partake in this grand event, BenQ has readied 107 XL2420T models and 65 XL2411T from its flagship line of professional gaming monitors for battle. Like all other BenQ professional gaming monitors, the XL2420T and XL2411T make a potent testament to BenQ's expertise, passion and relentless pursuit of game-changing display innovation and its principle design philosophy of "Gaming Is in the Detail".

The IEM 8 tour has been kicked off on July 25th in Shanghai, China. Besides the participating athletes, visitors of the Shanghai stop were given the chance to experience the monitors first hand as well at the Intel Booth, where the monitors were set up with League of Legends and StarCraft II, the two major games in competition. BenQ also invited and sponsored the former WarCraft III superstar and now StarCraft II pro gamer Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen and Virtus.pro's Slivko to compete at the Shanghai stop, as well as interact with fans in BenQ social media activities and raffles. During IEM Shanghai, BenQ further announced the launch of its latest professional gaming model, the RL2240HE for Real-Time Strategy (RTS) gaming.
