The BenQ Board CP5505 combines video conferencing, collaboration tools and content access in a single display, allowing executives to hold meetings without booking a dedicated conference room.

According to BenQ, the display can identify who in the room is speaking and maintain hybrid conversations with remote participants, while giving users access to their own files and applications when they approach the screen. The company said this is intended to reduce the need to connect devices or locate files before a meeting starts. The CP5505 can also generate a transcript and summary after a meeting ends, BenQ said.

The display's colour accuracy is designed to meet Pantone verification standards, with contrast suited to detailed documents and diagrams, making it usable for legal, design and clinical work. It also supports controls for managing presentations, activating Google Assistant and starting an AI-generated meeting summary during a call, according to BenQ, which said the device is intended for business reviews, presentations, hiring interviews and other office meetings.

Rajeev Singh, managing director of BenQ India and South Asia, said many offices lacked available meeting rooms. "If you walk into any office today, you'll most definitely find two or three people crowded around a laptop for a call that should have taken a proper room, because the proper rooms are all booked. That's not a technology gap, it's a real estate problem we've been solving with the wrong tool," Singh said. "The CP5505 puts a genuine hybrid meeting setup directly into the CXO's own cabin, so the boardroom stays free for what actually needs it. That's the idea we wanted to lead with this year at InfoComm with our entire enterprise lineup."

BenQ also displayed a 135-inch dvLED screen aimed at larger spaces such as town halls and leadership addresses, which the company said supports audiences running into dozens of people. The display offers 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage, according to BenQ.

The company also previewed two desk-lighting products for the Indian market, the iScreenBar and the ScreenBar Max. The iScreenBar is designed for iMac users and uses the ASYM-Light anti-glare optical structure from BenQ's ScreenBar range to light a desk without reflecting on the screen, the company said, adding that it is built to match the iMac's slim profile rather than sit as an add-on accessory. The ScreenBar Max is designed for dual-monitor setups and uses an ASYM-TriZone Light optical system that BenQ said distributes light across horizontal, vertical or curved multi-display arrangements.

BenQ said the three product lines form part of its "AI for the Future Workspace" proposition, and reflect continued investment in its partner, AV consultant and system integrator network in India.
