The administration at the primary school wanted technology solutions front and center because its students’ attention during lessons had dwindled recently, and the staff had noticed a huge decline in student participation and team collaboration. Interactive flat panels were introduced to increase overall student involvement.
The classrooms at Primary School No. 16 selected BenQ Interactive Flat Panel solutions to increase student participation with displays they could interact with through touch-based controls. Moreover, the Interactive Flat Panels come with built-in comprehensive tools for presentation and collaboration, and its germ-resistant screen is a huge benefit for a classroom full of children.
School staff reported a dramatic increase in student participation upon the installation of the Interactive Flat Panels. With an extensive set of tools, instructors could create games for the students with BenQ software, and even make annotations directly on the presentation. Adding to the fact, students could draw on the board, the Interactive Flat Panels became an integral part of the classroom environment. After the success of the first installation, the school ordered more units for its classrooms.

BenQ Solution Used
Poland Primary School No. 16 fit classrooms with BenQ’s Interactive Flat Panel installation to achieve a collaborative learning environment.
Primary School No. 16 in Szczecin, Poland is a pioneering education institution that’s been operating since 1946. Not just “focusing on the head,” this school looks to develop the whole student as an individual. As the school’s reputation grew, so did its facilities, in the 80s and 90s it expanded to meet the population increase. Meanwhile, it still strove to be a leading school for new age education.
As technology evolved in Poland and across the globe, students’ needs and desires changed with the times. To keep up with the current trends, the faculty at the primary school sought digital solutions to aid in education and increase participation. An education tools supplier that the school trusted, came in to perform a demo of BenQ’s Interactive Flat Panels. Immediately, the teachers were impressed by the numerous features of the RP series, but the school’s students were even more impressed. Students discovered the interaction with the screen both familiar, like with smartphones, and exciting as there were many new features they could explore. After seeing the impression, the Interactive Flat Panels had on the children, the school ordered several units.
For its order, Primary School No. 16 ordered two types of Interactive Flat Panels (IFP). The RP650+ and the RP653. With an NFCPen and EZWrite 3.0 annotation app, the RP653 permits educators to facilitate active learning with efficient note taking and idea sharing directly on files. Furthermore, one-way teaching can be eliminated by allowing students to co-create these files, which can be saved as images for sharing later so students can review lessons as they saw them in the classroom.
BenQ is health-conscious so its products reflect its values about student health. Eye-care solutions such as Low-Blue Light and Flicker-Free screens limit the stress and strain on students’ eyes, thereby reducing overall eye fatigue from long-term use. Additionally, Germ-Resistant Screens prevent build up of microorganisms, so even in a classroom full of children passing on germs is significantly reduced. BenQ IFPs are designed for thoughtful classroom flow, so the Multimedia I/O Interface provides numerous ports for displaying including HDMI, media USB, and earphone and microphone jacks.
In the end, the administration at Primary School No. 16 was completely satisfied with their investment with BenQ solutions. The school reported a rapid increase in student participation, and multi-touch support for up to 20 points allowed the children to interact with the lessons and collaborate in new and exciting ways that were not available previously. Introducing a new digital alternative to the standard curriculum helped the teachers and students connect on another level. In fact, shortly after the school had seen the vast improvement in student performance, it purchased an additional nine more units and even recommended BenQ IFP solutions to other schools throughout Poland.
