What's the difference between the GV11, GV30, and GV31?

Does the projector support screen-mirroring from a smartphone or laptop via a USB-C cable?

Yes, this feature is supported, but please note that devices connected via the USB-C port require a USB-C cable and must support DisplayPort (version 1.1 or above) to project videos. In terms of the specifications for the USB-C cable, please choose a cable with USB-IF certification.

Can I use a single USB-C cable to connect the projector to a Nintendo Switch?

Yes, you can connect the projector to a Ninetendo Switch via a single USB-C cable. The projector will support direct streaming from the Ninetendo Switch to the screen while recharging the Ninetendo Switch at the same time.

What kind of power bank does the GV31 support?

The GV31 projector can be recharged with a power bank via a USB-IF certified USB-C cable. The power bank must support power delivery of up to 45W. The specifications for the power bank must follow the following USB-C power input specifications: 20V/2.25A to 3.25A and 15V/3A. Please also take note that the speed of the power supply will depend on the content playing.

Does the GV31 support power supply (PD-In) via a USB-C cable?

Yes, the GV31 supports a power bank or power adapter with a USB-C connector or USB-C cable that is certified by USB-IF. The supported power input specifications are: 20V/2.25A to 3.25A and 15V/3A.

What about power delivery (PD-Out) by the GV31 via a USB-C cable?

How can I cast the music from my phone to the projector?

You can cast the music from a mobile device to the projector via two methods:

• Choose Wireless Speaker Mode on the projector and follow the on-screen instructions:

No, the projector does not support smart control capabilities with the BenQ Smart Control app.

What is the recommended projection distance and image size for the GV31?

We recommend a screen size between 80” and 100” when seated 7ft. to 8.7ft. (2.1m to 2.7m) away. The 300 ANSI Lumens allows for clear images when you project onto a 100" screen in a dark room, a 80" screen in a room with soft lighting, or a 60” screen in a well-lit room with no daylight. When using the projector in the daytime, choose Daytime from the picture mode menu to brighten the dimmer parts of the image.

How can I play the media content from the USB flash drive on the projector?

Yes, you can do so. Please refer to the following steps:

1. Connect your USB drive to the USB port of the projector (depending on the model).

2. Download the "VLC media player" app from Google play store.

3. Use "VLC media player" to play the USB media contents.

Can I use the internal storage of the Android TV dongle to play the video?

Yes, you can use the internal storage of QS02 to play the video, QS02 has built-in 16GB internal storage. Please refer to the following steps: 1. Connect your USB drive via the USB splitter cable. 2. Download the "VLC File Manager" app from Google Play store. 3. Copy or move the media files from your USB pen drive to QS02. 4. Use the "VLC File Manager" app and play your video from QS02 internal storage. *Please noted: QS02 only supports 5V 0.5A for your external USB pen drive.

How to connect my external Bluetooth audio device with the projector? Would there be any audio lag?

Connect your Bluetooth devices with the projector by following a few easy steps.

1. Make sure the Android TV dongle is installed

2. Power on the projector

3. Press the “Setting” button on the remote control or the screen > Remotes & Accessories > Add accessory > Activate Bluetooth-pairing mode and select your Bluetooth devices* on the screen > select “Pair”

*NOTE: Only one Bluetooth device can be connected at once. If you want to connect to external Bluetooth speakers or headphone, there will be minor audio lag, around 300ms, it's okay for listening to music but may experience minor latency while watching movies.

How long do I have to charge the projector before my initial use?

You have to charge the projector for 3~2.5 hours before your first use, please make sure you charge it until the LED light has turned green.

Can the projector support side projection?

The projector does not support side projection. However, you can still set up instantly with the projector's built-in auto focus and auto vertical keystone (±40 degrees).

If I use battery mode, will it impact the image brightness?

Yes, it is possible. Please read on to learn more about this topic. Yes, it's could. The portable projector supports 3 power modes: Normal/Eco/Low Power Consumption mode. When using the projector without the power adapter connected, the power mode will switch to “Low Power Consumption mode” where the brightness will decrease to 50% and the fan will reduce its sound by around 10%. This behavior is a user-friendly design to save power and extend the LED life. If a brighter screen is preferred, please connect the power adapter.

Can I use AirPods with the projector?

Yes, you can use AirPods with the projector. Please click and follow the instructions below.

1. Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging.

2. Open the lid of the AirPods case, press and hold the setup button on the case for up to 10 seconds. The status light should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.

3. Click "Setting" on your projector and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled, then click " Remotes & Accessories" to add accessories to connect the AirPods.

NOTE:

• There might be latency with Bluetooth that causes some audio lag when watching movies.

• You can only connect ONE Bluetooth device at a time. If you are using different Bluetooth devices, please pair again.

How to use a car charger with the portable projector?

Please purchase a compatible power inverter to work with your car charger. The power inverter has to be "OUTPUT 100V-240V ~ 50/60Hz, 1.5A". Please be noted that the car charger is not designed to charge large electronic devices, and the electricity from the car charger might not be stable.

Is the projector drop-proof?

Yes, it has a drop-proof design of up to 1.6ft (50cm).

Do I need to replace the LED lamp of the projector?

There is no need to replace it during the normal usage lifetime of the projector. Because the projector uses an LED light source instead of a lamp, it can last for about 20,000~30,000 hours so there is no need to change it during the normal usage lifetime of the projector. If you want to change the lamp, please notice that LED replacement is not user-serviceable, please contact the service center to replace it.
