How-To Video: Record Your Golf Swings while Minimizing Flickering

In home golf simulator setups, many golfers use golf swing cameras alongside projectors to record swings and improve their game. So, we’re going to show you how to use the 4K resolution BenQ LK936ST DLP projector and Carl’s Place swing cameras along with a Uneekor QED launch monitor and the QED Ignite golf sim software as an example. You’ll learn to record your golf swing while minimizing unwanted flicker.

To minimize flickering, there are three key settings you should note:

  1. Projector refresh rate (Hz)
  2. Camera frame rate (FPS)
  3. Camera exposure time

Basically, as long as you set your camera and projector to the same frequency or multiples of the same frequency, you will have a clearer view of your swings while minimizing distracting flicker.
