Christmas is one of the most joyful holidays of the year. Bells are ringing. Love, joy, and peace are the ingredients for this wonderful season. Do you know the story behind the Christmas? What are the Christmas-themed golf courses around the world? Let's take a look:
Rovaniemi in Lapland, Finland is everything that dreams are made of. The Santa Claus Golf Club is located in the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi. The winding fairways on the snowy forested hillsides offer a unique golfing experience. Apart from that, there is a town called Santa Claus in Indiana that has special traditions. Several golf courses in the US are named after Santa, Frosty, and Snows, and each with a unique Christmas theme.

With the coming Christmas this year, a brand-new course – “Christmas Village” is developed by GSPro designer Judd Shea( Aka Runpuddrun ). The golf course features plenty of activities across 18 holes to enjoy at your own pace.
Opening Hole 1 – Santa Claus is Coming To Town
The opening hole is revealed as Santa Claus rides in the sleigh, bringing the season's joy with this heartwarming sight. The tee-box design are whimsical Christmas gift, corresponding to which tee the golfer wishes to play. There are snowmen and gifts throughout the course to enjoy.
“I created a special animation, starting on hole 1, Santa and his reindeer ride throughout the course with the classic Christmas sound, bringing Christmas joy.” - Said by the designer Judd Shea.
Turning the bunkers into a Christmas-themed decoration
In each hole, you can find abundant surprises when opening the course. This Christmas version has been transformed into a whole new design with Christmas-themed elements such as Candy Canes, Gingerbread Men, Gifts, and Snowmen.
The Christmas gifts, stars, and snowmen are made in white, blue, yellow, and red colors, vividly showcasing the designer’s work of art by LK936ST. Once you get closer to the putting green, you'll be greeted with multiple smiley snowmen and Christmas gifts, giving you a warm welcome.
Christmas Village with Joy and Happiness - The Whole Family Can Enjoy
The Christmas Village features a red wooden house, and a Christmas gift truck, with trees and forest in the back. The course offers both junior and adult versions. The junior tee has a total length of 2842 yards, and each hole has a simpler design, making it easier for players of all ages to enjoy.
