BenQ Unveils International Photo-Journalist Dan Avila As Brand Ambassador

SYDNEY, Australia, March 7th, 2018 – We are proud to formally introduce international Photo-Journalist Dan Avila as our newest BenQ Ambassador for Photography.

Dan Avila is an award winning travel and commercial photographer. His articles and feature photos regularly appear in magazines, State and National Newspapers and high profile online sites around the world. Dan is retained as a commercial photographer for government tourism campaigns as well as commercially photographing high end resorts and tourism operations. He is also instructor in landscape & travel photography and a public speaker and photography educator.

Dan is a Full Writer Member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and is the current ASTW Photographer of the Year for the last two years in a row. Working across video and photography, Dan's work includes prestigious book and magazine covers as well as all of the images and video assets for the Gold Medal winning 2017 WA State and Australian National Tourism awards for Destination Marketing.

Dan's work as a travel photographer has him constantly working around world from the deserts of the middle east, to the sub-arctic and everything in between, photographing international campaigns underwater with whale sharks and manta rays, to marauding bison in a snow storm, to the volcanos and glaciers from helicopters and gliders. Dan also writes feature articles, always featuring strong images designed to elicit an emotional response from the reader with a distinct concentration on luxury, adventure and unique authentic travel experiences.
