Sydney, Australia 15th December, 2017 – BenQ, the internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle devices, have announced the release of the PV270 Monitor for Post-Video Production in Australia. The PV270 is a 27-inch 2K QHD display with class-leading colour performance, designed to complement and enhance the video post-production workflow.

Spanning a wide colour gamut covering 100% of the Rec.709 and 96% of the digital cinema industry’s DCI-P3 colour space, the BenQ PV270 ensures the output for High-Definition Television and digital cinema matches the colours you have defined. The PV270’s true 10-Bit IPS panel and advanced 14-Bit 3D Look Up Table (LUT) improves RGB colour blending accuracy, resulting in impeccable colour and gray tone reproduction. BenQ PV270 also features Delta E≤1.5 in Rec. 709 & Adobe RGB Colour spaces to ensure colours are displayed accurately in every stage of the video editing workflow.

The BenQ PV270 is Technicolor Colour Certified to meet the strict standards for colour accuracy used in Hollywood and throughout the media and entertainment industries with consistent, precise colour, presented exactly as the content creators intended.

Hardware Calibration on the PV270 allows you to adjust the monitor’s image processing chip without changing graphics card output data. Calibration keeps images consistent with originals without being affected by graphics settings. For an authentic and consistent viewing experience, the PV270 achieves immaculate and consistent brightness uniformity across the entire screen via a meticulous fine-tuning process of hundreds of sub-regions with a high-precision apparatus.

Designed for Video Post-Production, the PV270 supports a refresh rate of 72Hz to ensure 24p film content can be displayed at the correct cadence, without the need for pulldowns which distort playback of the source video. Coupled with features like GamutDuo to enable users to view videos simultaneously in different colour spaces, the BenQ PV270 is designed specifically to ensure the Video Post-Production workflow is smooth and finely tuned.

A detachable Shading Hood on the PV270 comes included to block ambient glare from the display. Finished with a minimalist bezel and adjustable stand design engineered to reduce reflection, the PV270 provides comprehensive connectivity, including a media card reader, USB 3.0 Ports, HDMI 1.4, Display Port 1.2 + miniDisplayPort 1.2 supporting Mac Thunderbolt output.
