Close to two hundred BenQ XL2420T and XL2411T gaming monitors are currently in place and prepared for battle, as the IEM Season 8 Global Finals kick off in Spodek Arena in Katowice Poland this weekend.
 
IEM is known in gaming circles as the Epic World Championship Tournament, and 2014 marks the third consecutive year that BenQ has been official monitor sponsor. 
 
‘Being involved in IEM is a major deal for BenQ,” said Joshua Edwards, sales and marketing for BenQ Australia by day and professional gamer by night (and weekends). 
 
“To provide monitors to this premiere event means we’re supporting the world’s best League of Legends and StarCraft II players and gaming fans from all over the world,” he said.
 
Said Director of Pro Gaming at ESL, Mr Michael ‘Carmac’ Blicharz, “This event, the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will be our 19th event with BenQ as partner, and the longevity of our dealings is testament to the cutting-edge quality of the monitors BenQ supply - they meet the strictest demands of the world’s best professional gamers.”
