BenQ Australia will unleash two new Camcorder models – the S11 and S21 - with a load of unique and innovative features in a compact video camera with a price point below $300.00.
Pocket sized yet offering Full HD, 1080p video the new BenQ Camcorder S11 is absolutely unique – the world’s first ever FHD camcorder with a built-in LED PICO Projector. This means you can shoot and then show recorded footage immediately using the same device. No need to export files and download via computer before sharing the recorded imagery with an audience.
Again offering Full HD 1080p resolution, the new BenQ Camcorder S21 features a touch screen 16M LCD, Night Vision, Motion Detection and Dual SD slots – this along with its RRP of just $249 gives it unique status in the camcorder category when compared to competitive models.
“BenQ is a global expert in digital imaging,” said BenQ Australia’s General Manager Chee. F. Chung, “and so it should come as no surprise that we’re now giving Australian consumers the opportunity to purchase quality, full HD video Camcorders that are as compact and affordable as a standard digital camera, yet offering functionality that will surely impress professional photographers and amateur enthusiasts alike.
“We successfully launched the inaugural BenQ Camcorder, the DVM1 earlier this year and so the two new models to be released in December will serve to extend our reach into this vibrant category, providing true innovation and a unique product offering which we feel will result in strong sales,” said Chung.
BenQ DV-S11 – the World’s First FHD DV with built-in LED PICO Projector
BenQ’s S11 is a digital camcorder and handheld pico projector in one, offering Full HD 1080p resolution, a 10X digital zoom, 5 mexapixels OmniVision sensor and a 3.5inch touch screen 230k pixels LCD - all contained within a pocket-sized, sophisticated looking unit.
It’s the first bar-type flat panel Pico Full HD DV Camcorder which can film true Full HD video without compromise and is equipped with a projector for viewing movies and recorded footage instantaneously up to 50” in size. Favourite clips sourced from the internet can also be converted with the included software and readily accessed and shared via projection onto any flat surface.
The ‘record and instantaneous projected playback’ feature on the S11 makes it unique to the market, and the conveniently sized 3.5” touch screen will display the imagery while it is also being projected onto a wall. It can even capture still images from the video during playback, taking ‘snapshots’ without first having to export the content to a computer.
The thoughtfully designed interface and good-sized icons on the roomy touch screen make it a cinch to operate and it even has a three-second pre-record feature, which automatically preserves whatever was happening just before the record button is activated.
Big-picture screening of Full HD recorded video and online clips in a versatile, highly portable pint-sized camcorder equals convenience and practicalities never before offered in a personal camcorder, making BenQ leaders in digital recording technology.
BenQ DV-S21 - Full HD 1080p Night Vision Compact Camcorder
BenQ’s DV-S21 Camcorder is equipped with infrared Night Vision to capture spectacular nocturnal scenes like an after-hours city scape in Full HD video or still images in an amazing 16megapixel resolution. Second to this is the camcorders ‘motion detection’ feature, which when set, will automatically begin filming the instant the subject moves.
Add to this the S21’s Dual Power capabilities – while the Camcorder comes with a rechargeable LITHIUM ION battery, it can also be powered with ordinary AA disposable batteries. Dual SD card slots means you can fill one SD card and then switch to the other, doubling your storage capacity.
Said Chee F. Chung, BenQ General Manager for Australia, “The S21 offers a simple and affordable solution for great digital imaging performance, whether in good lighting conditions or in the dark. With powerful night vision, enhanced with auto-start motion detection and auto-focus lock (blur-free focus performance) users can capture any scene, any moment in any light, effortlessly. The camcorder has a 3” touch screen with an intelligent user interface for easy navigation. At $249 it represents great value for money,” said Chung.
The new range of BenQ Camcorders will be available from selected retailers from December 2010.
