BenQ release the RL2460HT paving the way
to gaming victory

Sydney, Australia, June 2014:               BenQ say their latest gaming monitor, developed with the input of console gaming legend Justin Wong – “JWong” – of Evil Geniuses will set the standard for all gaming hardware to follow thanks to a vast range of features and capabilities that provide ‘game play supremacy’ for an affordable outlay of just $249.00.

The RL2460HT will hit Australian retail shelves this month offering gamers a host of exclusively designed features including Fighting Mode, HDMI Output for console gaming, as well as 1ms GTG, Black eQualizer, LBL (Low Blue Light) and Flicker-free technology and HAS (Height Adjustment Stand) coupled with Precision Scale System.  The 24” monitor has been designed specifically to appeal to the console gaming community, co-developed with gaming professionals to optimise high speed gaming.

Said Josh Edwards, sales and marketing executive for BenQ Australia and dedicated professional gamer in his spare time, “Competitive gaming brings out a raw intensity and competitiveness in gamers, and the RL2460HT is the result of designers and engineers in consultation with a professional player, who all worked together to optimise the monitor’s performance to provide an advantage in game play. The fact that it’s particularly geared towards console gamers makes this BenQ monitor stand out from the rest in our range and indeed in the marketplace generally,” he said.

“The RL2460HT is going to perform amazingly for some of the professional gaming industry’s most popular titles, enjoyed by millions of gamers around the world,” he continued.  “It’s our first monitor to be co-developed in consultation with a professional in the exciting genre of console gaming, and with “JWong’s” input, the addition of ‘Fighting Mode’ gives the RL2460HT legendary status.

“Fighting games on a competitive level require gamers’ unwavering focus on character.  To optimise gamers’ odds of winning, BenQ developed Fighting Mode to grant gamers access to specific colour calibration settings that help highlight the characters in combat.  This extra boost improves gamers’ gameplay and their chance to destroy their opponents.

Built-in HDMI output eliminates the risk of system input lag and delay, said Edwards, by allowing for action to be captured after rather than prior to going through the monitor ensures ultra-smooth, distortion free gaming experiences and uncompromised streaming.  It also allows for easy head-to-head setup capabilities for multiplayer games using a single screen, giving gamers a solid combination of game play and setup satisfaction.

The RL2460HT offers gamers a personalised viewing experience that matches up to their gaming preferences, according to Edwards.  “Gamers are able to keep track of and duplicate their monitor height setup with the newly incorporated Precision Scale System that comes with the 110cm Height Adjustment Stand which can be operated with just one finger to move the screen up high or down flat on the table, turned vertically or horizontally, as well as paired with a VESA mount.

“The upgraded Display Pilot function allows gamers to directly access the Game Mode Loader for downloading and installing the preset display settings of their favourite game or professional gamer in addition to making on-screen display adjustments.”

Console gaming demands the clearest possible vision, absolute concentration and dedicated practice, continued Edwards.

“High-speed gaming requires gamers to spend hours in front of the screen leading BenQ to develop and incorporate eye-care into its range of monitors.  Eye-care is an initiative which reduces harmful blue spectrum light emitted from the screen, actually offering end-users with a range of adjustable low blue light levels customised to each specific function, and also eliminates flickering at all brightness levels, elevating gaming performance and enhancing visual comfort during gameplay.  The RL2460HT has been fitted with this exclusive eye-care technology, giving gamers yet another reason to upgrade their monitor with the release of this highly anticipated model,” he said.
