Special congratulations to M5.BenQ! Just last week in Cologne, Germany, at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Gamescom 2012, the team successfully took the top spot with a decisive two-to-nil victory over SK Gaming. They have certainly come a long way, crushing every competing team in nearly every major League of Legends (LoL) tournament in the past six months.
Now, reaching top three may be the most important thing in the IEM, but M5.BenQ was determined to put on a good show from beginning to end. At their final battle against SK Gaming, the team dominated the tournament completely, terrorizing and destroying their opponents. SK Gaming surrendered quickly with a 15-1 kill deficit.
The final win secured M5.BenQ a slot in the grand finals of the biggest LoL tournaments to date, the Season 2 World Championship. On October 13th, the team will be battling SK Gaming, CLG.eu, as well the best players from North America, China, Korea and the rest of Asia, at Los Angeles, California for the most anticipated world championship title and the biggest paycheck in eSports history – an epic prize of three million dollars combined prize pool!
So stay tuned and root on for M5.BenQ! Go, team, go!
