• How does BenQ AI differ from solutions offered by other brands?

  Competitors rely mainly on third-party cloud-based AI solutions, something all recent-generation BenQ Boards can support as well. The key BenQ differentiator is our two separate AI teams: one focused on developing in-house solutions tailored to our customers’ needs and another dedicated to identifying and integrating the best third-party solutions for our displays.

• What is the difference between a NPU and an APU?

  Be careful of marking terminology. BenQ's RP05 and RM05 have true NPUs. An NPU (Neural Processing Unit) is a dedicated hardware engine built specifically for AI workloads. An APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) is essentially a marketing label for a standard CPU/GPU combination. While it can run some AI basic workloads, it typically struggles with most AI tasks.

• Why do I need an NPU on my display?
