Taiwan Artist Isa Ho, the explorer in conflicts between modern people and social values, is awarded the Arte Laguna Special Prize
Isa Ho, who has long been working with photograph as media, has constantly tried her hands at various creative media in art. In Westbeth series challenging the narratives in documentary photography so as to provide viewers with precise representations in the story-telling form. Through her unique way of fabricated photography and digital synthesis, Isa also explores the conflicts between the modern people and social values as well as the disciplines and stereotypes the traditional society has imposed upon women. In 2017, she was awarded the Arte Laguna Special Prize. Her works, most of which are in digital form, are now collected in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Gwangju Museum of Art (Korea) and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, etc.
