REC.709 Optimizes Color
Golf courses have so many elements that depend on color accuracy to look good, from grass and trees to sand traps and bodies of water. With over 90% Rec.709, the industry-wide standard for color reproduction in HD video and movies, your golf sim locales will appear realistic and immersive.
The BenQ short throw golf simulator projector has a number of built-in correction tools to enable DIY users to adjust the picture to properly fill the screen and help get installation and setup done quickly in one go.
Placement outside Hit Zone plus No Shadows with Short Throw Lens
For a smaller home golf simulator setup, a projector with a throw ratio ranging form 0.5 to 0.8 is preferred. It enables the projector to fill a 10 foot or larger screen without creating unsightly shadows and glare.
Special Offset for Golf Simulators to Help DIY Users
Projector offset refers to the distance between the center of the lens to the bottom of the image when placing the projector on a table or the top of the image when mounting the projecting from a ceiling.
The offset you need depends on ceiling height and screen size. Golf simulator setups usually go with overhead-mounted projectors installed upside down, and the projected image needs to reach the floor to create a realistic experience. For example, a ceiling mount projector with 100% offset displays an image with its top edge in line with the center of the lens. In a small room where the ceiling is lower than 9 feet, a projector with an offset larger than 110% may require you to tilt it up and go with keystone correction to get an image that fits properly on your screen. This may compromise brightness and resolution.
BenQ golf simulator projectors are unique with their offset, which is enough to help the image correctly reach the floor and minimizes the need for tilting the projector.
Image Alignment with 2D Keystone
To counteract the trapezoid effect that can occur when a projector is placed off-center, BenQ golf simulator projectors offer 2D keystone correction, allowing you to make changes to the position of the projected image without having to relocate the projector.
Easy Switch of Aspect Ratios with the Screen Fill Function
BenQ golf simulator projectors feature Screen Fill, which allows the projector to easily switch from native resolution to best match your desired aspect ratio with maximized pixel counts while avoiding image distortion, all with just a few clicks in the on-screen menu. You don’t need to go into graphics card or Windows display settings, which saves time and hassle.
