Why is there slight scent of burning or plastic smell when using projectors？

The working temperature of projectors is between 300 and can get up to 950 degrees. Projector itself is made of materials that can bear high temperature and requires multiple fans to push excess heat out of the projector. Warm air exhausted can be involve slight metal or plastic smell. This phenomenon will not cause any problems on the operation of the projectors.
Burning or plastic like small should also decrease over time.
