  • How frequent should I calibrate the monitor?
  • We suggest customers calibrate monitors every two weeks or every month at most for the best results.

  • What is hardware calibration and how can it help me?
  • Hardware calibration adjusts colors through direct monitor processing changes to achieve accurate colors.

  • What do I need when calibrating a monitor?
  • Calibrators like X-rite i1 Display Pro /Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro and Datacolor Spyder X are needed. Also please download BenQ's Palette Master Element software from our official website.

  • Where can I download Palette Master Ultimate software?

  • Is Palette Master Ultimate compatible with all BenQ monitors?
  • No, Palette Master Ultimate only provides service to PhotoVue models that launched after 2019. See the compatible model list here.

  • How does BenQ ICCsync work on PhotoVue Models?
  • Users don't have to install or activate BenQ ICCsync when using PhotoVue models with Palette Master Ultimate. The ICC profile will be automatically applied once user switches calibration.

  • What is the difference between Palette Master Ultimate (PMU) and Palette Master Element(PME)?
  • Palette Master Ultimate (PMU), BenQ self-developed calibration software, works for PhotoVue models that launched after 2019. It allows users to adjust color parameters more flexibly and to customize calibration settings. Learn more about PMU here:

  • What to do when the calibration fails?
  • We’d recommend that you calibrate your monitor again. If the calibration still fails, export Log ID to BenQ to debug.  Learn how to export Log ID here.
