New High-Performance, Environmentally Friendly, and Cost-Effective MX520 Business Projector Is the Perfect Choice for Small to Medium Spaces
IRVINE, Calif. — Dec. 3, 2012 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP® projector leader, today introduced the MX520 digital projector, a powerful business solution combining advanced features and energy-saving technology designed to complement small to medium spaces. With 3,000 ANSI lumen brightness, ultra-high contrast ratio of 13,000:1, and 3D format support, the MX520 features BenQ's world-leading SmartEco™ technology and brings big features to the meeting room at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
Featuring a brilliant 13,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.07 billion color display, 3,000 ANSI lumen brightness, and XGA resolution, the MX520 provides small to medium spaces with the highest picture quality available. When paired with the projector's multiple connectivity options, content further comes to life to create a complete, media-rich experience. In addition, the MX520 is packed with environmentally friendly features. Using BenQ's SmartEco technology, lamp life can be extended up to 6,500 hours — twice as long as in previous generations.
"The MX520 is designed to bring premium visual experiences to the meeting room affordably without compromising performance," said Eric Hass, Director, IT Channel at BenQ America Corp. "Whether used in traditional boardrooms or for portable presentation settings, the MX520 gives businesses a simple, flexible projector that's loaded with features and eco-friendly attributes. The result is superior performance at the best possible price."
BenQ SmartEco technology reduces the projector's power consumption by up to 70 percent. In SmartEco mode, the MX520 automatically adjusts its lamp power to maximize energy savings by delivering the best contrast and brightness performance, using only as much light as needed. Other energy-efficient functions include Eco Blank, No Source Detected, and Standby modes that dim or blank out the screen whenever projection isn't required. The MX520 also features a faster cooling time and if the projector is accidentally switched off, an instant restart function provides a 90-second period for immediately turning the device back on. For the user, this amounts to a lower TCO due to reduced lamp replacement costs, less maintenance than older devices, and lower total power consumption.
The MX520 also serves as an entertainment hub housing multiple connectivity options. Supporting various 3D formats and external devices such as Blu-ray™ and DVD players, the MX520 uses a Signal Power On feature to bring the projector to life automatically once an input signal is detected, adding setup speed and convenience to its unique proposition of value and performance.
The MX520 projector starts shipping today at an MSRP of $699. Additional information on the MX520 projector is available at https://www.benq.ca/product/projector/mx520.
