Why contrast ratio is lower than claimed value after measurement?

Contrast ratio is calculated by dividing the maximum brightness and minimum blackness (the brightness of the black). Due to the factory calibration procedure, panel's white-point needs to be adjusted to standard 6500K but it will reduce the maximum brightness of the particular unit. However, this is normal phenomenon for a calibrated monitor in factory.
