Las Vegas, NV (Jan 5, 2006) - BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today launched its new Value Line (VL) Series line of high-performance LCD TVs with two entry-level models -- the 32-inch VL3231 and 37-inch VL3731. Affordably priced for value-conscious consumers, both models are HDTV compatible (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i), and provide high contrast ratios (800:1) and high-speed performance with an 8-millisecond response time.
Both models feature BenQ’s proprietary “Senseye®” digital-enhancement technology that automatically and dynamically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images. Users select a preset mode of operation that corresponds to the content that they are viewing (e.g., Cinema, Dynamic, Personal and Standard), and Senseye adjusts contrast, color and sharpness settings, which significantly enhances the display of graphics-intensive applications such as gaming, entertainment and professional multimedia presentations.
The VL3231 offers extraordinary high-definition (HD) picture quality through the use of a professional de-interlacing video chipsets from Faroudja, a leader in innovative, high-performance video processing technologies, which dramatically sharpen projected images. The VL3731 uses Motion Adaptive de-interlacing, one of the most advanced forms of de-interlacing technology available, which processes each pixel independently, resulting in the highest quality image possible.
