Las Vegas, NV (Jan 5, 2006) - BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced the general availability of three keyboard-and-mouse desktop companion combos -- the x730, x805 and Desksaver Companion. All three combos offer a slim-profile, stylish keyboard that includes BenQ’s proprietary X-structure key technology for enhanced key stability and reduced typing noise as well as a matching optical mouse.
The x730 Wireless Desktop Companion Pro keyboard comes in a black/silver combination color. There are enhanced function keys, a volume knob, a built-in WideTrack scroll wheel and 13 Internet “hot” keys. The x730 keyboard “floats” above the detachable keyboard frame/stand and can be adjusted in various typing angles, which expands the palm-rest surface.
The x805 Wireless Desktop Companion Pro keyboard comes in a silver or black color, with a proprietary sliding-angle adjustment base that provides even support for all four corners. This base, curved ergonomic shape and X-structure keys were primary factors in the x805 keyboard winning the prestigious International Forum (iF) Design Award, which recognizes top achievement in product design. Both the keyboard and mouse operate via a 27Mhz radio frequency wireless connection.
The Desksaver Companion is a wired keyboard-and-mini-mouse combo that features a new “Apple White” color version that matches the style and size of the Mac mini, Apple’s minuscule, modular desktop computer. The keyboard features an ultra-slim profile for easy storage and portability, and is ideal for cramped interiors such as airplanes and network operating centers.
